What you actually need to do is put your arms on the ground and put your hands together as shown in the image. The reason this exercise is called Plank is that you have your body as straight as a plank during the whole exercise. So put your legs out straight as shown in the image and get your body straight. Keep in mind that your butt's not in the air, make sure your butt's not hanging down like that. Keep your body tight.
